On January 1, 2022, Pastor Debbedo V. Brown was installed as the new Pastor of Mamre Seventh-day Adventist Church, Dr. Nicardo Delahaye of Northeastern Conference, officiated the inauguration ceremony.

Pastor Debbedo V. Brown was born and raised on the beautiful island of Jamaica. He has worked as a full time literature evangelist and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Theology at Northern Caribbean University.  Later, he attended Andrews University Theological Seminary, where he graduated with a Master of Divinity Degree. Upon completing his master's at Andrews University, Pastor Brown accepted a call from the Review and Herald and worked as an Associate Publishing Director.

Before coming to Mamre, Pastor Brown shepherd the Friendship SDA Church in Elmira, New York, for two years, and the Kingston and Ellenville SDA Churches, where he served for six years. Throughout his work with the church, Pastor Brown realized the need for additional mental health training to serve the church more effectively. As a result, Pastor Brown completed a Master’s in clinical social work at Walden University and is a New York State Licensed Master’s Social Worker. Pastor Brown is also a trained medical missionary and was recently appointed as Associate Health Director by the Northeastern Conference Executive committee.  

Pastor Brown is happily married to his college sweetheart, his wife Shellian, for 14 beautiful years. Together, they have two beautiful children Davhari (11) and Sarah (5).

Pastor Brown is passionate about evangelism and equipping church members with the skills to lead others to accept Jesus Christ as their savior and to experience firsthand His righteousness. His guiding philosophy in ministry is that "when the hand of man is placed in the hand of God, nothing is impossible."
